EYOU RHU25L-80 harmonic joint module

The top of the sensed RHU range: 47 N·m continuous and 110 N·m start–stop at 1.27 kg, with the -F force-control version still available. Above this frame EYOU stops offering a built-in sensor, which makes RHU25L the ceiling for a self-sensing axis.

When this is the right choice

  • The last self-sensing frame. If the axis must measure torque without an external sensor, this is the biggest RHU you can buy.
  • Shoulder roll, elbow pitch, heavy wrist. 110 N·m start–stop covers a 5–8 kg payload arm.
  • 184 N·m instantaneous — headroom for deceleration and for the first moment of a collision.
  • 1.27 kg keeps it inside a forearm or a compact shoulder.

When it is the wrong choice

  • Hips and knees. Above this torque class, EYOU’s answers are RHU32H and RHU40H — and neither has built-in force control.
  • Wrists on light arms. RHU20L-70 saves 450 g and half the volume.
  • Where a brake is required. Confirm the brake option for this frame before designing around it.

RHU25L-80 FAQ

Why does force control stop at this frame?

EYOU’s -F option is built into the 14, 17, 20 and 25-size RHU modules only. RHU32H and RHU40H are not offered with it, so a force-controlled knee or waist needs an external sensor and a bracket.

47 N·m continuous — is that enough for a shoulder?

For shoulder roll and yaw on a 40–60 kg platform, yes. For shoulder pitch lifting a long arm against gravity, work out the gravity torque first; it is often twice the payload calculation.

What is the difference from TCHL-25 at a similar torque?

TCHL-25 is 83 N·m at 1.85 kg with optional brake and sensor; RHU25L-80 is 47 N·m at 1.27 kg with force control available. Different torque class and different sensing story.

How long does it take to ship?
