When this is the right choice
- Elbow pitch on a lightweight arm. 57 N·m start–stop with 811 g at the joint.
- Force control still available. -F works up to RHU25L-80 — this is the second-largest frame where the sensor is built in.
- 95 N·m instantaneous for the deceleration peak of a fast elbow move.
- Compact Φ70 body fits inside a tube-style forearm.
When it is the wrong choice
- Shoulder axes. 28 N·m continuous will not lift a heavy arm through a long lever.
- Where you need 50 N·m continuous. RHU25L-80 or TCHL-20 sit there.
- Impact-loaded axes. Harmonic drive, and the -F sensor does not change that.

Is this frame used on humanoid elbows or wrists?
Both. 28 N·m continuous is a heavy wrist on a big hand and a normal elbow on a light arm; the answer depends on the payload and the lever, which is what we ask for first.
Does the force-control version cost me speed?
No. The -F variant is the same mechanics with a sensor in the output path; the difference is resolution and price, not output speed.
Can I mix RHU and PHU in one build?
Yes — same manufacturer, same manuals, and the torque tiers line up. Watch the -F suffix: force control on RHU, flange on PHU.
How long does it take to ship?
