When this is the right choice
- 5 kg payload. Double the A7 and P7 — enough for a hand, a camera and a substantial end effector, or for handling the object rather than just reaching for it.
- ±0.027 mm repeatability on harmonic joints means the arm holds position under load instead of springing back through gear backlash.
- CAN FD, so the bus does not limit a 500 Hz control loop across seven axes plus a hand.
- 640 mm radius at 8.25 kg — the payload-to-mass ratio is the best of the three arms.
When it is the wrong choice
- 2.35 kg heavier than the A7. On a mobile base that is mass you pay for on every acceleration.
- Harmonic joints are less tolerant of impact. An arm that gets crashed needs the gear set checked; a planetary arm usually just needs the joint re-homed.
- 640 mm is still a table-top reach. If the task is floor-level or long-reach, the 950 mm HRV1 15 kg arm is the other answer.

Linker Arm H75 FAQ
H75 or an HRV1 arm?
H75 is lighter and more precise for a given payload, and it is the natural partner to a Linker Hand. HRV1 arms reach further (892–950 mm), carry more (up to 15 kg) and offer force control per axis. Pick by reach and payload first, precision second.
Does 5 kg payload hold at full reach?
Rated payload is normally quoted at a defined offset, not at 640 mm. Tell us where the centre of mass sits and we check the wrist and shoulder torque against it rather than assuming.
How long does it take to ship?
Assembled to order. The quotation carries the date for the arm as configured, including the hand if it ships together.
