EYOU RP70L planetary joint module

Short and wide: 52.5 mm long at Φ77, 12 N·m rated, 670 g. Where axial length is the constraint and the mount can be wider, this beats RP70H on envelope.

When this is the right choice

  • 52.5 mm axial length at Φ77. That is shorter than RP50H despite carrying 2 N·m more — a real advantage in a stacked waist.
  • Φ6 through-bore takes a proper harness, not just a signal pair.
  • 163 W at 20:1 gives both speed and torque without a second stage.
  • 36 N·m peak is enough shock tolerance for a base that runs into things.

When it is the wrong choice

  • RP70H is only 5.8 mm longer and gives 17 N·m — unless length is critical, the H is the better buy.
  • 20:1 is the lowest reduction in the RP series, so back-driving is easiest here — worst choice for a vertical holding axis.
  • Backlash and no brake, as with the rest of the line.

RP70L FAQ

Why is the L frame shorter than the H?

Different motor stack inside the same Φ77 housing. The lower-power motor is shorter, which is why the L is 52.5 mm and the H is 58.3 mm despite sharing the gear stage.

Can it back-drive?

Yes, at 20:1 with 12 arcmin backlash it back-drives readily. That is useful for a hand-positioned axis and unacceptable for one that must hold under load.

How long does it take to ship?

Confirmed per order at quotation; the RP series figures are approximate in the catalogue and confirmed with the factory at the same time.
