EYOU RP50L planetary joint module

The light build of the Φ59 frame: 5 N·m rated, 15 N·m peak, 150 rpm, 410 g. Same housing as RP50H, half the power — the reason to pick it is thermal headroom, not torque.

When this is the right choice

  • 150 rpm at 5 N·m. That is a mobile-base wheel or a fast indexing axis with a real torque reserve, in 410 g.
  • Same 53.5 mm length as the frame allows, so two of these fit where a harmonic of the same torque would not.
  • Through-bore cabling — Φ5 is enough for a motor lead and a sensor pair.
  • Cheaper and cooler than RP50H at the same rated torque, because the motor is smaller.

When it is the wrong choice

  • RP50H gives twice the torque in the same diameter for 55 g and 6 mm of length — if the axis is torque-bound, the L is the wrong pick.
  • Planetary backlash. 12 arcmin reverse is fine for a wheel, unacceptable for an arm axis that has to stay put.
  • No brake, no torque sensor in this series — a vertical axis needs a separate holding solution.

Alternatives at a similar level

  • EYOU RP50H — 10 N·m at 465 g — same diameter, double the torque
  • EYOU RP70L — 12 N·m at 670 g — one frame up
  • Tongchuan TCHL-11 — Harmonic alternative if backlash is the constraint

RP50L FAQ

RP50L or RP50H?

Same Φ59 housing and the same 19.53:1 ratio. L is 79 W and 5 N·m at 410 g; H is 157 W and 10 N·m at 465 g, 6 mm longer. Choose L for duty cycle, H for torque.

Can it run continuously at 150 rpm?

At 5 N·m and 79 W, yes — those are the rated conditions. Push past the rated torque and the winding temperature, not the gear, becomes the limit.

How long does it take to ship?

Confirmed per order at quotation; catalogue figures in the RP series are being re-confirmed with the factory, so the quotation carries both the numbers and the date.
