When this is the right choice

  • 30 N·m peak at 465 g — three times the rated figure, which is what lets a wheel take a kerb or a waist take a knock.
  • 157 W continuous in a Φ59 housing is a genuine power density number; most integrated joints in this size class publish half of it.
  • Same 19.53:1 as RP50L, so a prototype designed around the L upgrades to the H without changing the speed target.
  • IP54 and dual absolute encoder as standard.

When it is the wrong choice

  • Still 12 arcmin of backlash. A planetary gear set does not become precise because the motor is bigger.
  • 6 mm longer than RP50L. In a stacked waist that 6 mm per joint adds up.
  • 48 V only. No 24 V option published — check the bus before designing it in.

RP50H FAQ

What is this frame actually for?

Small mobile-base drive wheels, table-top robot waist yaw and pitch, and any axis that needs speed and shock tolerance rather than positional precision. It is the cheapest way to get 10 N·m moving at 150 rpm.

Does it hold position with power off?

No — no brake in the RP series, and a 19.53:1 planetary will back-drive under load. Plan a mechanical brake or a self-locking ratio if the axis is vertical.

How long does it take to ship?

Confirmed per order at quotation, with the factory re-checking the catalogue numbers on this series at the same time.
