EYOU PHU11H-60 harmonic joint module

Same torque as PHU11H-52 in a Φ60 housing, 140 g heavier: 5 N·m rated, 25 N·m instantaneous, 543 g. The extra 8 mm of diameter is there to get a harness past the joint.

When this is the right choice

  • The wider frame is a cabling decision. Φ60 × 68.5 is 140 g heavier than Φ52 but leaves room to pass motor and sensor leads through the joint instead of around it.
  • Identical torque figures to PHU11H-52, so the mechanical design does not change when the harness forces the bigger housing.
  • Dual absolute encoder, same as the rest of PHU, plus the option of a force-control build.
  • 68.5 mm is short for this diameter, which keeps two joints plus a roll inside a forearm.

When it is the wrong choice

  • 140 g of mass for no torque. If you can route the harness externally, PHU11H-52 is the better part at the same rating.
  • No torque advantage over Φ52 — do not buy the bigger frame expecting more load capacity, because there is none.
  • Proportionally heavier per newton-metre than PHA11H, so mass-critical designs should ask whether they need two encoders at all.

PHU11H-60 FAQ

Why does a bigger frame carry the same torque?

Because EYOU builds the Φ60 around the same gear set and motor as the Φ52 and uses the extra diameter for structure and cable passage. Torque is a function of the flexspline, not the housing.

Does the wider frame take a bigger through-bore?

The catalogue does not publish a through-bore for the PHU11H frames — cabling passes around the gear set inside the housing, which is exactly what the extra diameter buys. If you need a real bore, look at the RHU series.

How long does it take to ship?

Confirmed per order at quotation, with brake and connector build as the main variables.
