DAMIAO DM-JH17 harmonic joint motor

The shoulder frame: 16 N·m at 51:1, 24 N·m at 101:1, 54 N·m peak, under a kilogram at Φ80 × 70. Cheapest way to put 24 N·m of zero-backlash torque on a shoulder.

When this is the right choice

  • 985 g. Lighter than PHA17H (900 g is close, but PHA has no brake either) and lighter than EYOU PHU17H-80 at 1,143 g, with a higher peak than both.
  • 54 N·m peak at 101:1 — the highest peak-to-rated ratio in the line at 2.25×, and enough for a 3 kg payload arm.
  • Φ80 × 70 keeps the shoulder slim and short, which matters when the upper arm has to look like an arm.
  • Price. This is where the DM-JH line is genuinely hard to argue with: a shoulder harmonic for less than a robot-grade alternative.

When it is the wrong choice

  • 24 V nominal, not 48 V. A 48 V rail requires the supported-but-derated configuration; check the drive settings before wiring it into a 48 V humanoid.
  • No brake, no torque sensor. Both are standard asks on a shoulder and neither is published for this frame.
  • 20 rpm rated at 101:1. A shoulder that has to complete a pick-and-place cycle in under a second will feel that.

DM-JH17 FAQ

Can this frame carry a shoulder on a 30 kg humanoid?

No — 24 N·m rated is a small-to-mid arm shoulder. A 30 kg humanoid shoulder needs 40–60 N·m continuous, which puts you on DM-JH20 or EYOU PHU20H-90.

48 V or 24 V build?

24 V is nominal and the torque figures are quoted there. 24–48 V is supported — the higher rail buys speed, not torque — so tell us the bus voltage and we configure the drive to match.

How long does it take to ship?

Confirmed per order at quotation; usually short because DAMIAO stocks this frame.
