When this is the right choice
- A 4.5× peak-to-rated ratio. 45 N·m peak against 10 rated is the widest in the range, which suits burst moves and catching an impact.
- Wrist or light elbow. 740 g is manageable at the end of a 5 kg-payload arm.
- 16:1 keeps output speed usable for manipulation rather than just holding.
- Same CAN tooling as every other DM-J module.
When it is the wrong choice
- Anything that must hold at power-off. No brake in the series.
- Measured force control. No torque sensor — for compliant assembly you need a different line.
- Heavy cantilever loads — the output bearing is sized for the joint, not for a long lever.

Why is the peak so much higher than the rating?
16:1 planetary with a large motor: the winding can take a burst far above continuous thermal rating. It is real for acceleration and impact, not for a sustained load.
Can it run on 48 V?
Yes, at the same torque with roughly double the no-load speed.
How long does it take to ship?
