Ti5 CRA-RI50-70-PRO rotary actuator

Three ratios in a Φ50 package: 6.6 N·m at 51:1, 9.6 N·m at 81:1 or 101:1, with 23–34 N·m start–stop, 660 g. The middle of the CRA line and the one with the most tuning freedom.

When this is the right choice

  • 81:1 is the useful middle. Nine point six newton-metres with 29 N·m start–stop — nearly the torque of the 101:1 build with more output speed.
  • 34 N·m at 101:1 in 660 g is strong for the diameter, and the three ratios let one mechanical design cover three speed targets.
  • 63 mm long keeps an elbow compact.
  • 24–80 V — one part number across bench and robot bus.

When it is the wrong choice

  • Rated torque is quoted at 2000 rpm input. Ti5 sizes on input speed; if your motor runs slower, the continuous output figure falls below 9.6 N·m.
  • Specification being re-verified against the latest catalogue.
  • No brake or torque sensor published — same limitation as the rest of CRA.

CRA-RI50-70-PRO FAQ

Why does 101:1 not give more rated torque than 81:1?

Because the rated figure is limited by what the motor can put into the gear set at 2000 rpm input, not by the gear set itself. The 101:1 build converts that into more peak (34 against 29 N·m) and less output speed.

Is PRO-S worth looking at instead?

If you only need 51:1 and want less mass, yes — RI50-60-PRO-S is 450 g against 660 g for the same 6.6 N·m rated, at the cost of the ratio choice.

How long does it take to ship?

Confirmed per order at quotation, with the specification re-check on this series done at the same time.
