When this is the right choice
- 6.4 mm shorter than PP11 at identical torque and ratio — six millimetres in a wrist stack is often the difference between fitting and not.
- Same control behaviour as PP11, so a proven tuning transfers directly.
- 47 g heavier for the shorter body is a small penalty when length is what you are short of.
When it is the wrong choice
- Heavier and no stronger than PP11. Only specify it when the envelope demands it.
- Same thin 1.5× peak margin — 10 N·m against 6.6 rated.
- 50 rpm and backlash limits apply exactly as they do to PP11.

PP11D FAQ
PP11D or PP11?
Same torque, same ratio, same power. D is 6.4 mm shorter and 47 g heavier. In a wrist the length matters more, so D is the common choice there and PP11 everywhere else.
Is the D variant a different gear stage?
No — the gear stage and motor are the same; the housing is shortened, which is why the mass goes up slightly for a shorter part.
How long does it take to ship?
Confirmed per order at quotation; PP series figures are approximate in the catalogue.
