When this is the right choice
- 25 N·m instantaneous at 375 g. That is a 5× margin over rated, which is what lets a wrist survive a mis-commanded move without a torque sensor.
- 24–48 V. The first frame in the series that runs on a 48 V humanoid bus and on a 24 V mobile platform without a converter.
- Φ52 is the practical minimum for a cable passage. Small enough for a forearm, big enough that motor cables can route through the axis.
- Two-thirds the mass of PHU11H-52 for the same 5 N·m rated figure — PHA is the lightweight cut, PHU is the instrumented one.
When it is the wrong choice
- No dual encoder and no force control. PHA is a position joint; if the axis has to sense contact you want PHU, which publishes ±0.5% FS at 8 kHz.
- Rated figure is quoted at 2000 rpm input. At a lower input speed the continuous torque drops; size on 5 N·m only if your speed envelope matches the catalogue condition.
- Not a knee or ankle. Shock loads and back-driving dominate those axes — the PHA gear set is not built for them.

PHA11H-101-C FAQ
PHA11H or PHU11H at the same Φ52?
Same rated torque, different instrument. PHA11H is 375 g with a single encoder; PHU11H-52 is heavier, adds a dual absolute encoder and can be ordered as a force-control build. Pick PHA when the axis only needs position, PHU when it has to feel.
Can it run on 24 V?
Yes — the frame is specified 24–48 V, so a 24 V mobile platform and a 48 V humanoid bus both work. Output speed and torque at 24 V are lower; tell us the rail and we size against it.
How long does it take to ship?
Confirmed per order at quotation — the connector build and the cable length change it, and so does what the factory has ready. The quotation carries the date.
