When this is the right choice
- 28 N·m peak from a 7.8 N·m rated joint. A 3.6× margin absorbs a caught payload, which is the event that actually breaks elbows.
- Φ70 × 70 is a short package. Two of these and a roll fit inside a normal forearm without a belt.
- Cheaper than the equivalent EYOU PHU frame and it is still a harmonic — the trade is that EYOU publishes four torque tiers and DAMIAO publishes two.
- Dual encoder and CAN FD as standard.
When it is the wrong choice
- No force-control option. EYOU PHU offers ±0.5% FS at 8 kHz; DAMIAO does not publish an equivalent, so contact-rich work needs an external sensor.
- 775 g is heavier than PHA14H (645 g) at a similar rated figure — mass-critical designs should compare.
- No brake published — a vertical forearm axis will drop when disabled.

Is this the best value harmonic around 8 N·m?
On price, usually yes. On specification, check two things first: nobody publishes a brake for this frame, and there is no force-control build. If either matters, the EYOU PHU14H-70 or a Tongchuan TCHL-14 is the better answer.
What does 2EC mean?
Dual encoder: one encoder on the motor side and one single-turn absolute encoder on the output side. It is what makes the joint hold position without homing on every power-up.
How long does it take to ship?
