When this is the right choice
- Longest untethered runtime here. A 700 mAh cell for roughly six hours covers a full capture shift without a battery swap.
- Nothing to fit per operator. MEMS sensors mean no exoskeleton linkage to size, so a new operator is productive in minutes.
- On-board gesture recognition. You can log labelled episodes without streaming every frame to the host.
- Same SDK as the hands, so glove-to-hand teleoperation is a configuration, not a translation layer.
When it is the wrong choice
- No force feedback. The operator feels nothing the remote hand touches — that is the FFG’s job.
- Not a control-loop input. 100 Hz output is a capture rate; bilateral control needs the wired path and the tension that only a force-feedback glove gives.
- Very fine finger articulation. Seven sensors track the hand, not 21 individual joints.
Alternatives at a similar level
- Linker EG (LEG1-02) — Rigid exoskeleton, 15 sensors, 0.1°, under 10 ms latency
- Linker FFG (LFFG1-02/03) — 21 DOF with force feedback, 16 potentiometers + 5 servos
- Linker TA (LTA1) — Chest-mounted 14-DOF teleoperation arm for whole-arm pose

Linker MCG (LMCG1-01) FAQ
How many poses can it recognise on board?
The glove runs gesture recognition locally so a session can be labelled as it is captured. The gesture set is defined in the SDK rather than fixed by the firmware, and we send the configuration guide with the unit.
Does it work with the hands?
Yes. The MCG, EG and FFG all sit in the same ecosystem as the Linker Hand range: one SDK, one set of ROS packages. Glove-to-hand teleoperation is the normal configuration.
Wired or wireless?
Wireless, 2.4 GHz, with a 700 mAh battery for about six hours. There is no tether to restrict the operator.
How long does it take to ship?
Confirmed per order at quotation — it depends on quantity and on what the factory has built. The quotation carries the date we are working to.
