When this is the right choice
- 40 N·m continuous in a flat disc. Turntables, rotary tables and rotating fixtures get a joint that bolts into the plate.
- Two variants for axial budget — 53 mm long with 120 N·m peak, or 62 mm with 150 N·m.
- 10:1 for speed, which is what a wheel or a turntable needs.
- Same CAN stack as the rest of DM-J.
When it is the wrong choice
- Positioning accuracy. Planetary backlash; not a harmonic and not marketed as one.
- Power-off holding. No brake on either variant.
- Arm joints. 1.4 kg and a flat form factor are wrong for a limb.

Which variant — L or standard?
L is 10 mm larger in diameter and 9 mm shorter, with a 120 N·m peak; the standard variant is 150 N·m peak but taller. Choose on axial space first.
Can it drive a wheel directly?
It can, and 10:1 is a reasonable wheel ratio for an indoor platform. Check the radial load with your own bearing arrangement — the joint is not a wheel hub.
Is there any brake option?
No. The whole DM-J series is brakeless.
How long does it take to ship?
